I am a graduate; I have done b.sc in information technology from Mumbai. I am looking for job in IT field. I have been going through interviews and all but I haven’t found one yet. Recently I have got a call from TCS Company for job. I have my interview next week. I have been studying and brushing up all knowledge that I have. I wanted to know some questions that can be asked in the interview related to VMware and also how much round I have to go through for selection. I want you all people to give me some suggestions regarding this. Any tips and questions related to this would be highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Well I hope you get select in the tcs company. Just study hard and follow the following vmware questions. These are generally asked in interview.
• How can you edit VI Client Settings and VC Server Settings ?
• What are the files that make a Virtual Machine ?
• How to set the time delay for BIOS screen for a Virtual Machine?
• What are the devices that can be added while the virtual Machine running
• What to do to customize the windows virtual machine clone,?
• What is a template ?

As far as I know that tcs-india conducts three rounds for interview. One round is just personal round, technical round and the final and last is the HR round. I think you should search on the google website for this query. You will find many questions and related information for this on the internet. I think that would be best.

Recently one of my friends had an interview in tcs- hyderabad. He told me that the questions were very normal and basic. • How to check the state of VM using command line?
• How to shutdown a VM using command line?

• What are the three port groups present in ESX server networking?
• What is the use of a Port Group?
• How the Virtual Machine Port group communication works?
• In the ESX Server licensing features VMotion License is showing as Not used, why?
• What are the type of communications which requires an IP address for sure ?
• What is a VLAN ?
• Does the vSwitches support VLAN Tagging? Why?
• What is Forged Transmits ? What happens if it is set to Accept ?
• What is Promiscuous Mode on vSwitch ? What happens if it sets to Accept?
