Microsoft has a new specific certification: MCSA: Security, so that system administrators can demonstrate a deep and specialized knowledge of the implementation, management and maintenance of security issues in the Windows 2000 platform to ensure safe environments. Attached to the basic test, the elective exams provide a reliable and valid expertise and experience in designing and implementing solutions. Candidates for the MCSE certification should also have a minimum of one years experience in implementing and administering network operating system and desktop.

It would be better to go for MCSE certification if :
    • You are dedicated to planning, designing and implementing solutions and architectures for Microsoft Windows Server in medium or large.
    • You are having at least one year of experience implementing and administering network operating systems and desktop.

Other related posts are systems engineers. network engineers, systems analysts, network analysts and technical consultants.

You should also know that the candidates for the MCSA (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer): Security on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 must pass five core exams and three security specific. Candidates who already have certification or MCSE MCSA: Security on Windows 2000 can opt for the 70-292 exam instead of the 70-290 and 70-291 exams. For more information you can check the official site of Microsoft.

Security is one of the main pillars of trustworthy computing initiative (Trustworthy Computing) and the implementation and design of security plans are becoming increasingly more valued in the computer industry. In fact people who have this knowledge they want to win recognition for his ability and skill, just as employers who need staff with the knowledge they are willing to locate professionals who have them. With the launch of this certification, Microsoft supports the dogma of "safe development" in the context of reliable computer security and addressing the needs of safety certification of individuals and businesses.

For an IT professional to qualify for the MCSA: Security must be a minimum of 12 months experience in the implementation and administration of network operating systems and desktop in the complex computing environment of medium or large business. You must also have experience in deploying and managing security issues in network infrastructure. the same way, the candidate must have a broad knowledge of general security concepts such as communication security, infrastructure security, cryptography, and operational and organizational security or no specific knowledge related to the implementation of ISA Server 2000 in a business environment.
