What is the difference between Computer Engineering and Software Engineering

At my I had a subject of Software Engineering where it includes complete software development studies, but when I sees current year syllabus, eduction authorities have included one more subject that is Computer engineering, so I wanted to know the difference between Computer Engineering and Software Engineering.

    Thanks

The terms software engineer or computer programmer may be confusing to the average computer user. Most of us associate computer programs with the generic term 'Software'. Computer Engineering teaches you how to design systems that include both computer hardware and software. Software Engineering focuses on how to design and build software in teams. To us it may seem that the terms are interchangeable. That is not so. The role played by a software engineer is significantly different from that of a computer programmer.

Working computer engineers design computers and the basic software that runs them, including both personal computers and the "embedded" computer systems that run cars, aircraft, videogames, etc. Software engineering is a rigorous approach to development, maintenance and testing of software. These are engineers who must be knowledgeable about software requirements, design, development, maintenance and testing.

It just seems like Software Engineering is more like applying the knowledge to design the best software possible and computer science seems like its all math and programming is just secondary. Computer Science can be thought of as more Abstract than Software Engineering. It's my opinion that if you do a pure software engineering degree you will miss out on a lot of interesting things.
