It is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course. It is a test of four subjects i.e. Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. The Chartered Accountancy Course in India is regulated by Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). This test is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each.
A student who has passed 10th standard examination may register with ICAI. However the student can appear for CPT only after appearing for the 12th standard examination. Student can appear for CPT before passing 12th Examination.
Candidates will be allowed to opt for Hindi medium Question Paper Booklet for answering the questions.
CPT will be held two times in a year. June and December.
