Hi,
I want some information regarding SAP.
Which institutes provide SAP training & what about the placements after the course?
Please help.

Sap courses are provided by Reliance Institute in Mumbai.
Sapient college
Narsi Monji Institute also offer short term SAP HR courses.
These are all authorised institutes in Mumbai for SAP.
You can do the SAP Course from sapient, genovate, sapzen, C-dac in delhi, SAP LABS, Siemens. these are the institutions who provide the training & also after that they place you in good company.

SAP has become a comodity which means that every big company has it. So Everybody should know a litle of it.

Some tips

1.- SAP AG is the name of the german company that sells the product.
2.- SAP stands for Software, Aplications and Products in data procesing (in German of course).
3.- SAP R/3 is just the ERP product of SAP.
4.- SAP AG has also another products: SAP CRM (Custormer Relationship Management). SAP BW (Business Warehouse). APO (Advance Planner and Optimizer), SEM (Strategic Enterprise Management), among many others. Check www.sap.com.
5.- SAP R/3 includes all the backoffice parts that a company may need to run its business:
FI - finnacial (Accounts payable, receivable, general ledger,etc)
MM - Material Management (Purchasing, Inventory.etc)
SD - Sales and Distribution
HR - Humman Resources
PP - Plant Production
PM - Plant Maintenance
Basis - Systemen Admin.
Abap - SAP programming language.
Many other R/3 Modules
6.- You should do things that you enjoy, you are Production Enginneer, I recommend you to read about PP and PM before make a decision.
7.- Latest R/3 version is 470 or SAP Enterprise.
8.- CRM and Public sector solutions are hot now.

The idea of SAP came across to me, i dont have much knowledge about it. But i was told that just the knowledge of SAP can get good jobs.


Default need info on SAP
I wish to make my career in the accounts/finance area. However, currently im working a bit off track. and i have no knowledge of tally.

i planned on doing tally course but then i was told that i might not get a good pay package instantly and moreover as i have just a bachelors degree, it wont be possible to get to a good position in the future.

the idea of SAP came across to me, i dont have much knowledge about it. But i was told that just the knowledge of SAP can get good jobs.

I heard that we can do just modules of SAP if we dont want to go for full program. What are your thoughts about it.

moreover, it wont be possible for me to get into a full time course as my family situations dont permit me to leave the job even for 1-2 months.

I know i wrote a bit long question but i have given all the info/thoughts i could so that you can advice me accordingly..

My question is how to ascertain that the center is SAP authorised training center and is a SAP partner and how much is the amount that is required for this course. is there any way that we can do SAP live?
