    Certificate in Linux Administration

Certificate in Linux Administration - University Of Mumbai

Linux is an open-source operating system, with many similarities to proprietary UNIX operating systems like Sun Microsystem's Solaris and Hewlett Packard's HP-UX. The Linux kernel and many applications included in Linux distributions are developed by countless programmers worldwide. This approach to software development results in more secure and robust code, especially with high-profile projects such as the Linux kernel, KDE, Mozilla Firefox, and OpenOffice. Most of the software included in a Linux distribution, including the Linux kernel, is licensed under the GNU General Public License, permitting others to examine, modify, and create derivative works from the code for both commercial and noncommercial purposes.

    Re: Certificate in Linux Administration

Just wanted to know which Linux version is going to be taught? Like (Ubuntu, Redhat, Suse....??). This is an important consideration before learning Linux. Although all Linux versions are almost same, RedHat stands a step ahead as it is an enterprise level OS. If this course is RedHat, I will be joining it.
