Mumbai-based Teleman has announced the setting up its first learning centre in Delhi . Targeted at the wireless telecom segment this institute will offer new-age career oriented courses on wireless technology in areas such as GSM,CDMA,Wimax etc.
“While there is a huge demand for manpower in the telecom industry, there is a shortage for trained engineers. Our course will address this requirement,” said Raghu Warrier, Director Teleman. As “Pre employment training partner of Reliance Communications”, Teleman will offer various technology courses like Wireless infrastructure(BTS) Maintenance.Courses offered will be both part-time and full time programs for Diploma/Engg students in electronics/telecom.
“Our courses are designed so as to further enhance the skills of our students. For example our TCWMP proram is designed with a focus on wireless technology, enabling the student have more career options than before,” said Mr. Gaurav Kumar , Center Director – Delhi Teleman.
“The other courses which are being offered by us are in the realm of CDMA, TDMA, AMPS technologies,” said Mr. Roshan Lal, senior faculty at New Delhi Teleman Center.
Specially designed courses offered by Teleman (TCMP,TCMRP) for S.S.C, H.S.C, ITI, Diploma Holders and Graduates from any field with or without electronics background which will help students to identify and solve all software and hardware problems (up to Level 4) for all makes and types of mobile handsets, handle customer relations on phone and in person and have complete understanding of customer service workflow, work at Mobile Manufacturing units, Channel Partners, Retail outlets, ASCs and BPOs in India and abroad, have basic confidence to write, speak and communicate in English language and become conceptually strong and be able to easily adapt to future technologies.
With a rapidly growing Mobile phone manufacturing, service support and maintenance segment in the country the area demands large manpower. The TCMP course helps these students get placed in areas like Manufacturing units, Quality control, Retail outlets, BPO, and Customer Relation Management or even start their own Mobile Phone Service and maintenance unit.
Depending on their grading, level of competency, language skills and the size and business of the employing firm students in India can expect starting salaries of Rs. 7,500/- while overseas students can get upwards of Rs. 25,000/- per month.
