| Sleep/Suspend Button
ok so i got my dell laptop and instead of having the sleep button actually make the computer go into standby, i had change it to hibernate instead now however, it makes more sense for me to use sleep and i want to change the button back....here is the problem i went into power options and changed it back to the sleep command, but everytime i push it, it does hibernate instead... when i diable hibernation, it just brings up and error saying hibernation is not enabled and would i like to enable it now.... anyone know how to fix this, i think it may be a problem with either interfering software (Dell Quickset vs. Windows) or a problem with the registry keys..... thanks for you help in advance |

is it on vista or xp? Vista and Sleep don't get along. Just use hibernate -- it saves more energy and battery, and it works better. Just takes slightly longer to boot back up (but not by much). |
