Paint Shop Pro is not a freeware you have to buy Paint Shop Pro (shareware software).
My best guess is a downloadable demo is available for free download

Does anyone know of a free program that allows me to paste images in and save them as JPGs. Other than allowing me to crop images it needs no other function.

MS Paint can crop and save as JPG, though in my experience the JPGs are of rather low quality.

You might try The GIMP, though it might have bloar problems similar to what you're experiencing with PSP. Another solution may be disabling a lot of the plugins; I've never tried it with PSP but in most Adobe products trimming the preloaded plugins list down to a bare minimum gives a big performance boost.

    PSP is made by Jasc.

I didnt know MS Paint could handle JPGs now, i know before in the past it never could.

JPG is kind of a standard a work, i will have to keep on using it as thats what everyone uses here.

    Thanks again.

Gimp is the best free software as far as graphics are concerned. It is quite heavy though.
