How do we hide Title Bar?

Ok! My question might seem ridiculous to most of you. But, I guess, there’ll be someone who can come up with a solution for this.

I want to hide the title bar. Lately I’ve developed this obsession for full screen utilization. I love working that way.

    All suggestions, advices appreciated.

I totally understand what you mean, since even I am one of these Full-screen obsessed people.

Anyways, I guess what you could probably do is press F11 or F12 for full screen view of the application.

The command obviously varies from application to application. You can press the same command again to get back to the normal view i.e. with the task bar.

Sorry buddy! But I’m not looking for an application-specific solution.

Many applications come without this feature.

Please give me know some system-specific solution, if you can think of any.

You can squeeze the title bar to upto 11pixels using display properties. I’m not sure, if it is possible to get rid of it completely.

Have you heard of desktop-x by stardock?

I guess you should be trying that. Simply Google for it, you’ll find it easily.

I have also been looking for exactly the same feature. The closest solution I found is provided by winsupermaximize

This is a tiny utility that will add an icon in the notification area of the Windows taskbar.

When you double-click on the icon, it will remove the titlebar from the currently open window.

This is a bit like the "Full Screen" view in IE or Firefox when you press F11, but for any window. You can get similar result with this tool using a shortcut (Windows key+F11).

XSI, I am not looking for complete windows-makeover software. I have heard of desktop-x. I just want to remove a small part of the UI.

    Winsupermaximize worked perfect for me.

I’ve found another, which can be the next best solution: flashdesktop.
    Anyways, thanks all for response.
