Windows 7 shows Borders with Maximized Windows

I am having Windows 7 installed on my computer but facing some problem with this. Actually, I can see that there is shadow around all the opened windows when I maximize the windows. It might be some feature of this but I really don’t like this and want it to be removed as early as possible. If you know that how can this be done then please let me know that. I will be thankful to all the replies for this.

It is very easy to disable this. All you have to do is just open the Desktop Window Manager and from there open vista/7 shadow. This is under Windows frame > Per pixel > border. See if it is enabled from there. If that is enabled from there then you don’t want that then just disable that. This will solve the problem for you. I hope that this will be helpful to you.

Here are the steps that you require to follow in order to get this issue resolved. Here are the steps for this:
    1. First of all, click on the “Start” and right-click “Computer” and choose “Properties”.
    2. After this click on the “Advanced system settings” from the window which pops up.
    3. Now click “Settings” which is under “Performance”
    4. See for the “Show shadows under windows” entry and deselect the box.
    5. Finally click on OK > OK.

After this you will not get that shadow.

This is the special effect created for Windows 7. Though they have given the option to disable that which is already mentioned above but I don’t think that it will create any problem with the performance of the system and so you must keep that as it is.
