    Missing pin to taskbar option

I am Missing pin to taskbar option. I do not know if this is the case with only with me. I have not heard this before. When I right-click on a folder, it fails to give me the option to pin to task bar or pin to start menu. At first it was not giving me this but now suddenly it started giving me this. It however works on my colleagues system. What is the big deal with this, please conclude.

Also facing the similar situation. I do not know why I can not pin my icons to the task bar. Whenever on an icon which is open or is on the taskbar I make a right click, it returns with a message saying Close all Windows. Also the icon shows a red circle with a cross on it, whenever I drag it from any folder or from the desktop. This didn't happen before, just these days. Has any one faced this? Please help me get out of this.

I have a solution by following which you will be able to pin a folder to the start menu. Good Luck while doing this.
    1. In order to enable the folder to pin to start menu first download Enable_Start_Menu_Pin_Folder.zip
    2. Then save the file on the desktop.
    3. After the download is complete, extract the .reg file to the desktop.
    4. Now right click on the extracted .reg file and click on Merge.
    5. After this click on Run, Yes, Yes, and OK.
    6. Now for the final step, press and hold the Shift key, then right click on the folder or folder shortcut that you want to pin to the Start Menu and click on Pin to Start Menu.

Well if you are satisfied with the pin a folder to the start menu solution, then it is OK and if you are not then I can show you the steps for pinning the folder to the taskbar.
    1. First of all go to the folder hat you want to pin to the taskbar.
    2. Then create a new folder in that folder as a subfolder for it.
    3. Now right click on the new folder, and then rename the folder to any name you wish to give it.
    4. Now unlock the taskbar
    5. After unlocking the taskbar, right click on a empty space on the taskbar and click on Toolbars and New toolbar.
    6. Now go to the folder that was created, and select it, then click on the Select Folder button.
    7. After this on the taskbar, left click on the dotted lines and hold.
    8. Now, drag it to the left until you see the new folder without the expansion arrow.
    9. After this is done simply release the left click.
    10. Right click on the new folder that was created, toolbar title name, then uncheck Show Title by clicking on it.
    11. Now after this is done, just lock the taskbar.
    12. You now have a pinned folder on the taskbar.

I hope that these steps are going to help you a lot.
