    Customize your Windows 7 Desktop

Many users might be thinking to customize the Windows 7 Desktop. So I thought to post some tips that can be useful for that purpose.

    Home Screen

If you get bored of the background image that appears by default to identify in the system, read on. Access to the registry using Win + R key, type regedit and press Enter. Then navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Authentication \ LogonUI \ Background and double click on the variable OEMBackground. Change the value data to 1, accept changes and close the editor. It is time to choose the image you want, turn it into a JPG not exceeding 256 Kbyes in size (with a resolution similar to the monitor) and placed in the following path C: \ Windows \ System32 \ oobe \ info \ backgrounds backgroundDefault.jpg named. Remember that if the folders info and backgrounds do not exist, you'll need to create previously.

    Dynamic Fund

The themes and wallpapers that incorporates Windows 7 are the best we've seen and, depending on the country where we are, has custom wallpapers with monuments, buildings and landscapes themselves. W7 gives us the ability to dynamically change the wallpaper every so often. Click the right mouse button on the desktop and select Properties. Then click on Wallpaper. Now select all images that you want to be part of the carousel. You can do this using the mouse or by selecting one or more categories and folders. Then select the position of the image and program the time you want each image Change. Shuffle can mark if you want to switch funds from an unordered way.

Re: Vista style Task in Windows 7

    Vista style Task

One of the most revolutionary aspects of W7 is the taskbar, in which the different instances of the same application are grouped around its icon but do not provide additional texts. If you want to enjoy a bar like Windows Vista, just follow these steps. First, position yourself at the bar and click the right mouse button. Select Properties and on the Taskbar tab, check Use small icons and not combine the list never Buttons toolbar. Apply your changes. To activate the shortcuts you press the right button to access the bar Toolbar / New Toolbar. In the text box corresponding to Folder enter% userprofile% \ AppData \ Roaming \ Microsoft \ Internet Explorer \ Quick Launch and click Select Folder. At the bottom of the bar you will see a new section called Quick Launch. Go to the bar again, and with the right mouse button, uncheck Lock the Taskbar. Now position yourself in the divisor for Quick Launch, click the right mouse button and uncheck Show Text and Show Title. Only remains to reposition everything as you want.

Anyone wants to provide more information about this, are most welcomed. Please post your information below regarding the topic.

Re: Notification area in Windows 7

    The notification area

Windows 7 is very restrictive when viewed in the notification area services that are loaded into memory and are capable of being managed. While installing programs and some of its processes to remain resident, will not appear. To manage your profile go to Control Panel / notification area icons. In this window you can play with the behavior of each of the available icons. If you click Enable or disable icons in the system also can decide who you want to enable or disable. It remember that although hide an icon, the associated process will continue running in the background. If you need to completely disable the process, go to msconfig.

Re: Enhanced Online Reading in Windows 7

I think that you should also know about the enhanced online reading which is the good feature of Windows 7 (as well Windows Vista).

    Enhanced Online Reading

Like Vista, version 7 incorporates Clear Types, a mechanism through which the final look of the Windows fonts to match the type of screen that the user has to achieve a better reading of the text. To configure your computer follow the path Start / Control Panel / Display and click Adjust ClearType text. At this point begin a four-step process where you have to go picking the best shows that you read on the screen. You can also expand the size of fonts, desktop icons and task bar marking Medium or larger but you will have to close session and reopen it to see the changes.

Another tool that improves the viewing quality is Calibrate color. Implementing the actions indicated by the wizard using the controls on the monitor and get a more comfortable profile display screen.
