Unable to Create Toolbar in Win Xp

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a new profile but something has became corrupted and Quick Launch disappeared. If I right click on taskbar, go to toolbars, and try to check the Quick Launch, an error that says "cannot create toolbar." appears. Please help, I really want my Quick Launch toolbar back!

Re: Unable to Create Toolbar in Win Xp

This happens if the Quick Launch folder is accidentally deleted, and / or "Application Data" registry path is not correct, click 'Windows XP fixes' and find the solution "can not create toolbar ... .. "error message. Download the VBScript and double click it. Restart and now try to enable quick launch bar.

You might look to see if the Quick Launch folder still exists. It may have been deleted. Its the folder that holds all the shortcuts in the Quick Launch Toolbar. Click Start, Run and type the line above to see if the folder exists. In most cases, re-create the folder helps you turn the Quick Launch bar ON.

Re: Unable to Create Toolbar in Win Xp

You need to enable the Quick Launch or the Desktop bar, or try to create a new toolbar, if your getting the error "Cannot create Toolbar". you need to execute the following command at the Run dialog box:

Code:
IE4UINIT.EXE
The above command creates the Quick Launch folder automatically. If the issue still persists, re-register the following two files (Simply execute the commands one after the other at run dialog box):
Code:

REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL
REGSVR32 /i BROWSEUI.DLL
Restart Windows and enable the Quick Launch Toolbar.
