I have been wondering if it is possible to have multiple desktops at a same time on a single computer? Say 4 desktops in 1 operating system at a same time? I'm new to computers when it comes to advance customizing, please help guys!

Linux has had it for many years on pretty much all the window managers you can get out there. Hell, you can even get a nice cube/slide effect with the program Compiz Fusion.
I used to have a program for Windows too, that did the same, but it didn't work well at the time.
I'm afraid that I can't remember what the program was called though.
