There are many applications stored at different locations in the hard-drive of my computer, and hence there may be one or multiple icons for each applications having more than one subfile on it. So, these icons are also spread and stored at different locations. I want to save all these icons once at a specified location. how can I do the same ?
    any ideas.....

You can also save icons as files. To do this, first you need to extract icon resources from a folder or a file. After extracting icon resources from a folder/file, you can save them selectively as Icon files(*.ico), Bitmaps(*.bmp), JPEG images(*.jpg), GIF images(*.gif), PNG images(*.PNG), PCX images(*.PCX), TGA images(*.TGA), TIFF images(*.TIFF).

Saving as Icon Files (Saving an Icon to a .ICO file) -

To save icon resources as icons (*.ico), follow these steps:
    1. Select the icons you to save from the Icons List,
    2. Right-click ,Select the "Save as" command,
    3. In the dialog select the file format "Icon file (*.ico)".
