OpenType fonts problem in windows xp

I can not use a previously OpenType fonts installed on my Windows XP (font file with the extension .OTF), the better, I can not install them again, regardless of software used (FontExpert, OT1 or Adobe Fonts Type Manager) all refer to me an error message about the visibility of the file. I think it can come from installing software Adobe CS4 or an update to Windows XP but I am unable to address them alone ...

Can anyone help me to find this?
    Thank you in advance ...

I have never used software to add fonts in Windows. Just add (copy) in Windows \ Fonts. For me it has worked. I just downloaded one otf file and immediately added to the Windows \ Fonts and it is usable without problem. To remove it simply delete the directory.

I found the same problem while updating my nvidia driver to 176.04 (quadro fx1500)
    I don't have SP3 so SP3 isn't the problem.
Maybe there are some display driver settings which will resolve it, but the easiest is to use an different (older) driver...

    Open the registry editor (regedit)

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

Add a new REG_DWORD entry called SessionImageSize with a value (decimal) of 20.
