Adding Custom Sound Event in XP

Hi all.. I am a Xp user. As we all know we have sounds assign in windows like on click or when windows starts.

From last few months i am using Firefox as my default browser, it takes long time to start. There are many such things which make me need to add cutom sounds for them..

Is there any way we can add some custom sounds in my XP computer.

Yes,, that's possible. We can now add custom sounds in XP windows.

Wanna to add some custom sounds to your XP oS,, you need to make some changes in registry.Lets start:-
    1. Go to Start –> Run, type Regedit

    2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\AppEvents\Schemes\Apps

    3. Right Click on Apps, New –> Key

    4. Name the key with the programs EXE file, like Firefox for Firefox, Winword for Office word, without the extension

    5. Now on right pane, right click Default, and click Modify and type in the same application name

    6. Right click on new key and create a new key, and name whatever you want to

    7. Go to Control Panel –> Sounds and Audio devices –> Sounds, there you should be able to see the Custom sound event you added.

Thats it... you are now ready to for custom sounds. Isn't it interesting tip
