hi.. one of my friend bought a Vista System last week..
He wants to change his vista menu bar of windows explorer to look classic as in Xp.
How could it be done ?
Its very simple, just try this steps:-
- Click the Start button located in the lower-left corner of the Windows Vista desktop.
- Then click on the Computer tab in the right side pane.
- The Computer tab will open and launch a Windows Explorer window.
- Now click on Organize located on the current top menu toolbar.
- Then point to Layout and click on Menu Bar.
- Windows Vista will then display the Classic Menu Bar in Windows Explorer.
Thats it...
Windows Explorer folder with classic menus can be shown and displayed by pressing the ALT key, and the menu bar will appear above the toolbar.
Once you choose a command from any of the menus, or press ALT a second time, the menu will disappear automatically.
To permanently show the classic menu bar on folders, click Organize on the toolbar, point to Layout, and then click Menu Bar
Useful information!!! But remember Some applications in Windows Vista no longer display the Classic menu bar by default. These applications include Windows Explorer, Internet Explorer, (My) Computer and Windows Media Player.
