Now my machine to be up again just last night had pulled all the pictures into raid again from backup so now I should also like to start soon to kick some back.

A fine smoke picture. I would probably just remove the dark blob at the top right corner as it is a bit disturbing in my eyes.

If there are some who are a little lost on how such a picture is taken, there is little reading here.>

    The procedure is as follows:

The camera is placed on the tripod and light set up. Lighting / flash from one side or the rear is also used.

Put the camera on auto focus, then place an object of some sort eg your finger low as auto focus on that and it should self. Me there when you expect to come smoke, then turn over to manual focus.

A shutter of 1/100 is enough, the aperture opening of around f/10 - f/16, these figures are self adjusting with light/ lash you use, but a small aperture opening (Small = higher f / number) is preferable to such images.

This image is from the matches, but the incense sticks are preferable.

This image has been used invert -B & W+ color.

    Go work.

Can add that just as well be throwing the closing time on the 200-250 as the max for flash use. We still want no natural light in the picture and it does not change anything on the flash exposure if you use 1/100 or 1/200.

Quite correct, when we have been Nikon max shutter 1/500 when using flash.

With the style I make these pictures, I have a shutter between 1/100 to 1/200 and it is fine in my setup.

True bigheaded image of curiosity, should be allowed to see the "raw" image? Should try with photoshop for this like.

    Thank you.

And yes, you can make it yourself like:

Only made smaller in height and stretched a little.

See you can not say because it much depends on what camera you have. On small models, it has nothing to do with shutter type. On the larger models, as at most other houses 200-250.
