You can prevent it from loading at start-up if you want to. You will just
have to click the icon on the desktop or start menu when you want to use
    ghost.

    1) Click Start button
    2) From the Start menu click Run
    3) In the Run dialogue box type 'msconfig' (without the quotes.
    4) The configuration window will open
    5) Click the Start-up tab
    6) Look down the list for the Ghost entry
    7) Remove the 'tick' from the box on the left next to the Ghost entry. This
will now stop Ghost running when your pc starts
    8) Click the Apply button followed by OK
    9) A message will now appear telling you to restart your pc. Press the
    Restart button
    10) When your pc restarts a message box will appear telling you that you
have started windows in 'troubleshooting mode'. Right at the bottom left is
a small box marked 'do not show this message again (or something similar)
Place a tick in the box so the message doesn't appear again.
    11) You have now disabled Ghost from appearing in the system tray and
    starting at start-up.
    12) When you need to use Ghost just manually open the application by
clicking the Ghost icon on the desktop.

Hope so it may help you out.

You may have missed the easy option to 'customise notifications'. Right click the task bar and left click 'properties'. Two tabs appear: Start menu, and taskbar. Choose taskbar and low down there is an option to 'customise'. Choose this and all the notifications displayed near the clock are listed, current and past, with the default category 'hide when inactive'. There is then a drop down menu of 'always hide', or 'always show'. If you want to have your Ghost icon to get disappear from the task bar click on 'always hide'.

Just try to left click on and drag the separator between it and the Task Bar to the right until you have a blank bit (i.e. with no Icons on it). Right click on the blank part of the Quick Launch Bar, select View and then select Small Icons.

The whole Bar area may now be too high. Bring your mouse cursor down until it touches the top and the cursor changes to an up/down arrow. Depress left mouse button and drag top down to where you want it.
