Cursor moves itself up the screen

    Hello friends,
When i move my cursor towards my taskbar, it automatically goes upwards to the top of the screen. I don't know whats wrong. Can anyone help?

    All suggestions are welcome.

This could be either a touch pad driver or video driver issue. Try to reload it. Plug in another mouse and see if you have the same problem. Try booting without mouse, if cursor stops moving, buy a new one.

    Check following points:
    • Reinstall the drivers that came with the motherboard
    • check the BIOS
    • Remove mouse driver and let Windows detect it.
    • Restore your system to a point when your mouse was working correctly

If using a regular wheel mouse, clean it. If you are using a optical mouse, consider the pad you are moving it on.
Your system may be affected with virus. Update your antivirus and run full system scan. You can also try multiple antivirus like AVG, Avast, etc. and scan your computer.

    heh..
first check it on a better mousepad. then underside of the opticalmouse. clean the transparent part where the red light comes out. use only an ear bud.

and for a mousepad, get a proper one(Rs.25) or any unlaminated paper.
i would prefer the unlaminated brown papers. i use em when my mousepad has been washed.
