Logo design for my company name

I'm designing my company logo and I'm in need of some advice.

So, my company name is "Media Blocks" and I have some logo designs on paper that look pretty good. I don't know what font to use to write the actual "MediaBlocks" sign. I thought of using theese fonts:

I've tried the kotak font ( http://www.dafont.com/kotak.font ) but it seems that it isn't very clear...
Any suggestions?

With a name like that, you are probably best off picking a square, blocky font. Your first font sample was the closest to that, while the others either seemed too rounded or too much like stencil. While I could see you using the "m" and the "b" from "media blocks" in the kotak font, using that for the whole text probably wouldn't be a good idea.

I agree. But that M and B with the kotak will have another angle. I say i use a red background, white text color with a grey M and B and above that 3 equale squares with shade behind. What do you say? Can you picture it?

Using blocky glyphs for »Media Blocks« is o.k.. But be aware that they have a few cons, especially if they are »fat« and you want to use your logo even in small sizes. Bad legibility means bad impact. My proposition is: Take all the necessary time and test your desired typeface in all possible sizes in the »sample text setters« of the resellers or foundries websites.

It does. Any feedback or ideas are very appreciated. I already printed a few logos in small size to see if it's readable. The smallest size was a 2x6 cm pice... it seems ok. The kotak font looks really bad in small sizes.

Any other font suggestions? I could really use a logo and identity design topic.

Why don't use the Helvetica Inserat or the Impact font? They are both very block-like, very clear, very good readable??? Just a suggestion...

Why not go for a pixel-font? With the letter from as few pixels/blocks as possible and make it BIG (have a little space between them though). You could have a look at Fontstruct.

Hi,

I was designing logos but I am not professional. So I got only little success. I read some where that, Quality, fashion and purpose must be reflected in the logo design. These three points must be kept in mind to build a logo that serves your business. The motive of the logo is to represent a recognizable trademark without having to use the company’s full name. Then I decided to go for a professional and I found a place where this job is cheap. I am satisfied with it.
