I would like to know that how do i memorize the view settings i.e. icon / list / thumbnails / etc on a per folder basis? I'm running Windows Xp on my system and it keeps me showing everything in detailed list. So does, any one have any idea that how can i do so? Any help on this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. |

You could make the change in the registry by modifying these two entries: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Shell and HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\ShellNoRoam. Creating a DWORD called BagMRU Size for each of those registry keys and assigning it a decimal value of 5000 would fix the folder settings. |

I once did a Tools--> Folder Options--> "Apply to all folders" (namely when I defined "Details view" as default). You can also click "Reset All Folders" which can also reset your folder settings option. |
