    New Welcome Screen-Windows 7 build 7057

Microsoft Windows 7 Release Candidate 1 is expected to get released on April 10 this year for public downloading, and before this another Windows 7 development build has found its way outside of Redmond. Some Neowin users have found Windows 7 build 7057 in the wild.

Carrying the build number 6.1.7057, the site displays screenshots of the Setup.exe along with digital signatures showing a time stamp of March 6th 2009.

The most immediate change users would notice in Windows 7 RC is the new welcome and shutdown screen.

That is a new welcome screen in "Windows 7 RC".

This new build features a more gentle human art work. I liked it!

There are lots more changes in windows 7 like:-

    1. New Wallpapers
    2. New user icons
    3. New application icons

Can be issue of power, Unplug the power, remove the battery and then hold the power button for 30 to 60 seconds. Then reattach the power and attempt a boot. definitely worth a try.

Most monitors are multiscanning (support variable horizontal/vertical scan-out frequencies). When the video signal changes frequencies (e.g. resolution change by app), the monitor often goes into a "trying to lock onto the signal" mode where it's often black during the change-over time. I've seen this take a second or two. So that's a possible cause.
