Change the Start Menu Background

Hi,
Is it possible to change the background of start menu? can we set coustom image there? and Will it require any API? , to change the background of the start menu ? using windows xp.

I don't think it is possible unless there is a program that can. You can, however, change it to the Windows Classic version if you like (to look like earlier versions of Windows.)

You can change the background image that is displayed on the start menu screens by replacing the /Windows/Cingular.bmp file with a BMP file of your choice.

Just make sure the image is 240px wide by 320px high. Once you replace the file, then reboot your phone and the new image should be displayed when you press "start".
