The icons for nm-applet are located in /usr/share/icons/hicolor/22x22/appson my PC. After making changes you may need to regenerate your icon cache.

    Type the Code

    sudo gtk-update-icon-cache -f /usr/share/icons/hicolor

and you would be able to Change the wifi Systray Icon.

    Enjoy.
