Hello , if you go to start > all programs > accessories > system tools > scheduled tasks you will need to add a scheduled task for a logon, and the file you wat to start will be %SystemRoot%\system32\osk.exe I think that will work, or at least it is worth a try.Hope it Will Help

Hellom From IBM you can get the (rather old) IBM TOUCHBOARD software which has the ability to pop up on the login screen. The only nag is that it does not pop on the re-login screen shown on the local device after ending a remote desktop session. I have not been able to figure out why or how to get around this.On the side: I would really love to know how to get the MS DialKeys keyboard installed on Windows XP Embedded. It seems to be only available for Tablet and UMPC (Vista).

The keyboard shows up at logon, both with the default logon screen and the logon screen presented during/after a RemoteDesktopConnection session. The OSKGina v2.0 can be downloaded from Siemens (and possibly others)

Re: On Screen Keyboard at Windows Logon Screen ?

Hello You Can Try the following Steps

    • Run Group Policy (Start > Run > GPEdit.MSC).
    • Go to Computer Configuration; Windows Settings; Scripts (Startup/Shutdown)
    • double-click on Startup.
    • Click on the button Show Files... and in the newly opened window
    • right click and create a new text file.
    • Rename to osk.bat
    • Right click & edit the file
    • put in it the following line:
    • C:\Windows\System32\OSK.Exe (check this is the correct path for the machine you’re using!!)
    • Save & close the file
    • close it’s folder window
    • in the Start Properties dialog click Add...
    • type OSK.bat in the script window
    • Select OK twice
    • Still in Group Policy, go to:
    • Computer Configuration; Administrative Templates; System; Scripts
    • on the right pane, select Run startup scripts synchronously
    • double click on this option
    • change to Enabled (This will make sure the logon process will continue even though the script has not ended).
    • Select OK
    • Shut group policy
    • Shutdown PC
    • Restart system - the on-screen keyboard will be available about 5-10 secs after the logon screen occurs.
    • Put any other access tools into the startup folder as normal

Have you ever tried this solution on Windows7? I can try to run osk.exe using the batchfile as you described in a startup script, but however, the keyboard ist never displayed. What am I doing wrong?
