Hello,,
I am using Windows XP, and my desktop icons are very large due to which my taking much space on my monitor's screen.
I want them to look small or normal, How can i do this ?
It is very simple. Icon's size depends on your screen's resolution.
Just Right click on your open desktop
The display properties box will open
Now click on settings Tab
Select the screen resolution that suites your desktop
Click apply and Ok.
Thats all...
You can reduce your icons size easily..
If you are using Windows XP,
than Right click on your desktop at empty space, the display properties box will open, click on settings and select the screen resolution click apply and than Ok.
And if You have upgraded to Windows Vista or are more familiar with earlier versions of Microsoft Windows will immediately notice when getting onto Windows Vista that the icons and icon text is much larger than previous versions of Windows. If you wish to have the icons appear as they did in previous versions of Windows follow the below steps.
1. Right-click on the Desktop.
2. Click View.
3. Select Classic Icons
Now you see your icon's size is normal.
You can change screen resolution to shrink icons or you can leave the resolution alone and change the icon size.
To do this right click on a blank area of the desk top
1.Click properties
2.Click the appearance tab
3.Click the advanced button
4.You'll see a field marked item
5.Click the down pointing arrow scroll down to icon then you can change the icon size and font if you wish
Thats All...
