Screensaver crashing in Windows Vista 64bit

    Hello,
I recently installed Windows Vista 64 bit and I noticed that the screen saver (ribbons) crashes when I want to pick by hand.
With the key, a message "the tape has stopped working ..." and a search for a solution that just tells me to update Vista.
How to solve this problem? where the file of this screen saver to reinstall?
    Thank you in advance
Whats a question with no answer called ?><

    Try this:
1 - Make a windows update just in case ...
2 - Try an audit errors and scandisk
3 - Check if your drivers of graphic card are up to date
4 - Make sure you have the latest directx memory as screensavers and OpenFirmware to use GL
5 - if nothing work, then the file extensions are in standby scr, plus search files with this extension with the Windows Find tool.

    Hello,
1 - it's done, Vista is up to date
2 - Where is the "error checking"?
3 - also, Driver of graphic card is updated
4 - DX regularly updated (installation versions come with games)
5 - Thank you, I look here ... Do you think these files are unchanged on the installation from DVD of Vista (to try a reinstallation of the screen saver)?

I have found that if you hit a key instead of moving the mouse it doesn't crash. But other than that I haven't found anything that fixes it.

Do you have a screensaver set, and if so, then which one is selected in the drop-down? What time do you have for that? In the power management, what time do you have for the 'turn off screen'? I'd say definitely check the power management settings.
