Task Manager in Vista and XP

In Windows XP, pressing the Ctrl and Alt and Delete keys together on your keyboard brings up the Windows Task Manager. This is known as the 'Three Fingered Salute' ...This allows you to see what programs are running, examine how hard the computer is working and, if necessary, stop any programs that have crashed.

Again, in Vista, you can start the Task Manager directly by pressing Ctrl, Shift and Escape keys together.

In task manager, when you are viewing the CPU Usage History, you will see either one, two or four screens, depending on whether you are using a single, dual or quad core CPU. If you maximise this display, (the middle button at the top right of your screen), then then double-click anywhere on the the graph, it will become full-screen. This will impress the boss. Simply double-click again to bring it back to normal size.

Ahh, I think many people already know this. You know, in Windows Vista, pressing the same keys calls up a User options screen. From here you can log off, restart or lock your PC as well as switch users or change a password.
