Windows XP is full of visual effects, but these options enable wasting a lot of system resources.

To optimize:

1.Click Start, Control Panel, System, then click the Advanced tab In the Performance section, click the Settings button

For a good report, aesthetics and performance, leaving only the following options enabled:

  • Show shadows under mouse pointer

  • Show shadows under menus

  • Show the selection rectangle of translucent

  • Use of shadows for the names of the icons on the desktop

  • Use visual styles on windows and buttons

  • Smooth screen fonts

  • To disappear or appear tooltips
