Outlook 2007 has a notebook. It is not really designed to play the role of "Post-it" virtual you throw after a few hours, but is very useful when one wants to keep the notes in time. Especially since they are easily synchronize with mobile phones. Here's how to change fonts and colors of notes to better recognize them.



By default, Outlook notes uses all the same color yellow and the same font "Comic Sans MS" size 10. Uniformity that makes not only the multiple notes difficult to distinguish but also difficult to read on screen high definition.

Change color and default font:

  • Open Outlook 2007 and open the Notes section (from the left pane)
  • Go to the Tools menu and select Options
  • Make sure the Preferences tab is open
  • Find the Contacts and Notes to the middle of the dialog
  • Click on Options notes
  • You can change:
    • The default color notes
    • The default size of notes
    • The font and font size
  • Confirm OK



Give each note color

Outlook 2007 can assign categories to not only emails and appointments, but also to the notes. And each category has its own color. When you assign a category to a note, this paper adopts the color attached to the category.

  • Click on a note of the right mouse button.
  • In the menu, select Sort and then All Categories.
  • Here, you can create new categories, rename the default categories and assign a color category keg. You can even assign keyboard shortcuts to easily assign a category to an item selected. Click OK to confirm.
  • Click on a note of the right mouse button.
  • Go to the File menu in the menu and select the desired category.
  • The note is then colored by category.
