    Different image displayed in thumbnails

I m using windows xp pro, shooting a dance studio and i don't know how it happened but i m constantly uploading new images and showing the parents the images i have already shot, the thumbnails after a while when i go back to a file i have already looked at and the parents like and bring back someone else to view the image then the thumbnail has changed and it sends me looking for the original file having to go thru the images.

The file number is the same the thumbnail has changed? anyone experience this before?
I am not uploading new files with the same number and replacing the ones I already have in there?

Right Click on a blank spot on the page of Thumbnails.
    Select ARRANGE ICONS BY.
    Select NAME.
That should put all the thumbnails in their proper position.

I'm sorry to tell you this, but the thumbnail is in fact a different picture than the full one, store in the EXIF data, so it's perfectly possible to have a valid thumbnail in a totally corrupted picture. If you've tried in different computers, and I assume you downloaded it from the CF card in each one of them, the picture is already corrupted in the card.

Make a new folder, select the photos in your current folder and copy them in your new folder. Check that everything is OK and delete your old folder.

Open the folder and delete the Thumbs.db file. To see it click on Tools -> Folder options -> View tab. Scroll down and check show hidden files. After you delete this file, close the folder, open the folder. XP will automatically make a new Thumbs.db file and this should correct the problem.
