Removing a program icon from the Start menu

I removed a program icon from my start menu. But I observed that removing a program icon from the Start menu doesn't remove it from the All Programs list or uninstall the program. How can this be done?

Do you mean that you want to uninstall the program? You can remove it through Add/Remove programs going through control panel. This will remove the icon from the program list as well as start menu.

    1. Click the Start button.

    2. Right-click the program icon you want to remove from the Start menu, and then click Remove from this list.

    Its so simple
