Here is a little trick that, if not necessarily very useful, very nice! Indeed, it allows you to create a folder invisible with a little known ASCI.
- Start by creating a new folder on your desktop (right-click, New, Folder).
- Then rename the file by typing ALT simultaneously and then 0160. A character appears invisible. Some thought it was easier to type a space but Windows prohibits the creation of compound name just a space.
- We are now with an issue that has no name but who has an icon preventing obviously to make it invisible. We are going to replace this icon default by another totally transparent.
- Then right-click the folder, then choose Properties and then Customize tab, click Change Icon .... In the search box, enter (if not already done by default)% SystemRoot% \ system32 \ shell32.dll icon and select an "empty". Finally, click OK.
