    question jpeg image thumbnail shown differently in preview

    i hav got a jepg image which is displayed differently in thumbnails and differently in preview

    why is it so can any one tell me why and how to rectify it

    Are you sure it is an Jpeg extension image file and not a modified one? If it so then download IrfanView, which is freely available, and can automatically modify the image file in its original format.

    Is this file RAW or JPEG? If it's really a JPEG, you're just seeing the thumbnail cached by Windows, and I don't believe you'll be able to recover the whole picture.
