On Windows Vista, it may happen that certain software poses some compatibility problems with Aero. It follows that the Aero interface is cut partially or even completely. Most of the time, Aero restarts when the application is closed, but this is unfortunately not always the case. We will see how to reactivate.

We will reactivate Aero in two stages:

1) Selecting the theme:
Right-click an empty spot on the desktop, then click Customize on color and appearance of windows. Then click Open classic appearance properties for additional color options. Then check that Aero is selected in the color. If this is not the case, activate it by selecting it and clicking the Apply button.

If Aero is already selected, go to the second stage. Otherwise, the problem should be resolved.

2) Rebooting the DWM:
Click the Windows and in the search field, type services.msc and validate.
In services, look Desktop Window Manager Session Manager and click the button to restart. Aero appears again.

If the manipulation did not work, check again the first step after you restart the DWM. If Aero always shines by its absence, it is necessary to check a small display properties in the advanced display. We must choose the optimum viewing options, not maximum performance. Thus, Aero should reappear
