    What screen resolution?

    I have a 19-inch display, It is a Sync Master 959NF.
In the games I have difficulty finding an appropriate solution, which often missing parts of the picture.

I would think that as long as the ratio is 4:3 so it should suit my screen? So 1280 x 960, 1600 x 1200, etc. It is primarily between the two sizes, I must have it. So it is not too ugly, and not too small.

Have I misunderstood something? 4:3 may not apply to my monitor ?

1st, How do you know something is missing?

2nd, It may be because your resolution is too high 1600 * 1200 is fine, but it may be you need to change anything on the screen.

3rd, Some games will run in 4:3 and 16:9, for example, Command and Conquer 3, at 16:9 looks at more than 4:3, because the game has been designed to 16:9.

4th, Have I misunderstood something? 4:3 may not apply to the monitor ?

Answer.: Well, you can only 4:9 (but should be 4:3, of course; aka typo)

    4:3 do you mean, no?

I know this because I can see there is an approximately 2 cm wide black band on the left side of the screen, and then remove the approximately 2 cm in the right side.

The rest of the time, for example, in 1024 x 768 or whatever is, shows the entire screen. And on the desktop works fine too.

So if I start to move on the screen settings, it might work in the game but just not in other games and on the desktop.

Does it have any influence, the solution I have on the desktop? There are running 1280 1024, Do not ask me why

But your monitor has a 1920 x 1440 resolution, and if you do not see the whole picture so it must be the display setting, you can change it by pressing slightly around the screen.

Say you need to tinker with the settings, thus setting the stage for the picture to be shifted left and perhaps be slightly narrower. It is typically when the buttons are in front of the screen and then in one form or another OSD menu on the screen.

But when I do not just running for example, 1600 x 1200 or 1280 x 960, so there is no black band on the left side and I CAN see the entire screen.
So I can not change the display settings without it that will mess the rest of the things. So when I do not just play on the two resolutions?

It can see the fine out fine when I'm on the desktop and in many other games or solutions.
