Available since 30 July 2008, the management software photographs Adobe Lightroom 2.0 is about to be officially updated to version 2.1. Indeed, Adobe has downloaded the Release Candidate (pre-finals).
According to Tom Hogarty, Lightroom product manager, this new release fixes some bugs of the previous version such as crashes on Windows Vista 64 when using the Web module or selecting a profile customized camera. With Lightroom 2.1, Adobe also promises optimized software, including better performance at rendering for the Mac in 64-bit or importing a large number of images already in the catalog Lightroom. This version 2.1 will follow the recent update to Camera Raw version 4.6 and support the RAW files of more cameras: the Fuji FinePix IS Pro, the Nikon D700, the Nikon D90 and Nikon Coolpix P6000 join the list of devices already supported.
