Desktop screen resolution for 22"

I just bought an Acer x223w in 22 inches. Except every thing fine, that I have a concern with the screen resolution. If I put the native resolution (1680 * 1050), the icons are tiny and short. I feel like my 15 inches before. If I put the resolution that I used on my 15 inch earlier, the Office occupies the entire screen, against, text and icons are somewhat unclear.

What do I put as resolution. My graphics card, I do not know what it is, I will seek.

Put the native resolution (1680 * 1050), active ClearType (Display properties -> appearance -> effects -> use the ClearType) and thatchanges the size of icons.

22" in 1680x1050, I find it too big
A 15" is 1024x768. If you find that this resolution for you on a 22", it is high time to change glasses. Or buy a LCD TV 2m diagonal HD Ready (no no, not full HD, you would have nothing...)

To force it get used, and in any case pass from a 15 to 22 inches is expected to see the size of icons fall.

I put the native resolution, but reading is quite difficult on the Internet. It is really small and I feel that the color fonts (like the one I'm writing) is not "stable".

Not necessarily, because if you spend a 17 "to 22" wide, the pitch rises.

All browsers can increase the font size. A good start is to move the Windows interface in 120 PPP (Display Properties, Settings, Advanced, General Parameter PPP Large size).

I do not know if it can help you but I had a problem with unsharpness on 19" wide (1440x900) on the XP. The resolution was well accepted. (Chipset with integrated graphics) I was thinking about a screen problem. Updated drivers and it actually came from that.

Blur also with another model screen but the "self tuning" has been resolved.

I just got this monitor today (Acer x223w) and though I don't have an issue with the clarity at the native resolution, I have an issue with background noise). There is so much electrical 'waviness' in the background that it's somewhat annoying. Anyone else experience this? Is there a solution? I don't have the issue if I switch the resolution over to 1600x900, but then all the type is blurrier. The noise is gone, but fuzziness takes its place. Any suggestions?

Actually, any time I have had this problem with a monitor it was bad caps in the ballast circuit. Most folks do not bother to repair the computer monitors these days. They buy new ones. That is how I got my 22" widescreen I am using now. It was replaced for less the 200 bucks by the original owner.

Might have something to do with power supply. I know of a similar problem with my mates plasma screen. I know that a plasma is a completely different monitor to a lcd but his was humming so loud at one stage and he got it sorted under warranty. Something to do with his power connection to it.

Is this monitor plugged into a vga port or dvi?
Unless at native resolution lcd monitors do this when they're plugged in via a vga cable. If you don't have a dvi cable, get one, if you don't have a dvi output on your computer you'll need a new graphics card that has one.

If this is the case don't feel silly No one told me and I exchanged 2 monitors as "defective" for exactly this problem (since it was my first lcd monitor) before I learned that this was normal and lcd's work best with dvi.
