    It is simple

    • The column Savers (left) lists all the screen savers available to you. When you install OS X in fact, you already have a number of screen savers.
    • To change the screen saver, you simply have to select another in the list. It appears in the preview window.
    • By clicking Test, you can report in size from this screen saver. The Options button allows you to select display options (Note that some savers do not offer this option in case the Options button disappears.

    • You can also choose ( between 3 display styles for your screen saver: slideshow, photo montage or mosaic.
    • The cursor Start after determines how long after the screen saver is activated if you work on your Mac. be sure to set the cursor according to your wishes. Choose preferably a relatively short period, if any interest?
    • By checking the box Use random screen saver is the OS X system itself will choose which screen saver and this without asking your opinion ...
    • You can choose to have Content the time displayed on the screen on top of your screen saver.

    1. If the screen saver doesn't have an installer to place the file in the right folder, locate the .saver file in the package.
    2. Drag the file into the Screen Savers folder, which is in the Library folder at the root of your hard disk ~/Library/Screen Savers.
    3. Follow the steps in "swap your current screen saver for another one," above, to select the third-party screen saver.

    Customize Your Screen Saver

Now that you've outfitted your Mac with a new screen saver, you can further customize its settings. Here are some of the things you can do in the Screen Saver preferences window.

    * Click Options to view the selected screen saver's user-configurable display settings and adjust them to your liking. These settings will vary screen saver to screen saver.
    * Move the "Start screen saver" slider left or right to change the time, in minutes, at which the screen saver begins to play.
    * If you'd like the ability to start the screen saver manually, click Hot Corners. In the resulting dialog, choose Start Screen Saver from any of the four corner pop-up menus and click OK. The screen saver will start when you move your arrow to your chosen screen corner.
    * If you're the adventurous type, select "Use random screen saver," and your Mac will automatically select a screen saver when it goes into screen saver mode.

Firstly, you need to know that all screen savers are in fact simple files. These files all with the suffix ". Saver.

These files can be in two different places in your OS X system:

    • Either in the Screen Savers located in OS X / Users / Maisonette / Library: In this case only the intended user has access to these screen savers.
    • Either in the Screen Savers located in OS X / Library: In this case, all users have access to these screen savers.

In short when you download a new screensaver, simply place the file. Saver in one or other of these file screen Savers, and then reopen the module screensaver to select your new screen saver in the list, which must of course appear.

You can get many screensavers on theApple's site
