| Re: Computer Build for a customer
you have a great Pc build, but to make it better, i suggest you the following changes - Processor - Instead of intel core i7-3930X Sandy-E bridge 3.3 GHz, replace it with a intel core i7-3930k Sandy-E bridge 3.2 GHz. It will reduce your cost by a large amount. Instead of investing on computing power that you don't use, you can invest the amount saved on a better graphic card. Suggestions for a graphic card - Palit nVidia Jetstream GTX 680 2GB DDR5 or Gigabyte Ultra nVidia GTX 680 2GB DDR5 The best option for you. P.S. - Intel core i7-3930k is also a hex-core or 6 core processor. To the human eye, performance of the above said processors are fractional. Motherboard - Go for the ASUS Rampage IV extreme edition insted of ASrock X79. Even it is a LGA 2011 supported motherboard. Under tested conditions, Asus is by far the best manufacturer of motherboard. The BIOS that ASUS provides is the most in-depth and is second to none. It has it's own heatsink too. I still have better options than above, but i do not know your budget specification, hence i will stop here. If you do not have problems regarding finance, and can spend extravagantly, i will help you build a better system. Enjoy. Cheers, Siddanth. |

Asus motherboard is nice and as Siddanth suggested, go for 3930K proccy and then you can overclock it to your liking with a good water cooling solution. For the ram I would go for GSKILL Ripjaws Z Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900). |
