AVG free updates are not working

I am facing issue while updating AVG antivirus. I am using the Free Edition. I had installed this two months before and thought it would be working fine. But it now stopped working and every time I am getting a new popup that AVG is not updating. It keep on asking for fresh updates. When I try manual update it takes the same. But that disables the auto-update settings which does not notify about new things.

I happens sometime. I had seen a similar threads in this forum which showed up the similar issue of failing updates. It happens due to busy AVG servers. If there are large updates, it takes time to respond for every user. Manual update can be a temporary fix for the same. You can download it and run the same. Later on the issue will be fixed. Even if you think that updates are not working you can simply try to re-install AVG and check back.
