Nod32

Am thinking about giving Nod32 AV a try but I don't see anywhere on their
site if this program can be set up to do a scheduled scan. Can anybody using
this product answer this for me and perhaps let me know if they're happy
with its performance? Tom G.

Yes it can, although I don't do this myself.

I've been using NOD32 for a good number of years, and I've always been
entirely happy with its performance and ease of use. You'll hardly be aware
of it normally, but it's there!

It can do it but I just do a manual one but you wont be sorry you use it
as it's very light on the system, doesn't have all the bloat that others
do and is one of the top anti virus programs out there.

It automatically updates itself throughout the day whenever new def files
are released and doesn't interfere with whatever you are doing.

I think you will find it well worth the money.

I've been using this for about eight years after having a bad time with
Norton, and it's been absolutely fine, doesn't intrude in any way, you can
set it to do scheduled scans, or whenever you choose. As Joan says, if you
set it to update when it wants, it will do it as and when new virus defs
are ready.

Also, it doesn't use a lot of resources.

Thanks to all who resonded to my questions. I DL'ed the trial version and
installed it yesterday and so far, so good.

up Nod32 and alot of answers to questions many people may have.Hats off

Thanks for the site. A wealth of info there. There's one thing I haven't
seen addressed anywhere. Since I don't have office or outlook is there any
reason for me to run "DMON"? Any other insight into this program you can
give me would also be appreciated.

Any documents made in the Office format will be cheked by DMON.
Maybe it is wiser to enable DMON.

But if you do not use Outlook, you can disable EMON.
