McAfee's scan32.exe runs itself

I have installed McAfee VirusScan 8 Enterprise yesterday and today Ive found that it runs itself automatically in background eating CPU. I have checked out and have made sure that there are no schedued tasks. I dont come to know about it unless i find system running slow. Any ideas what might be wrong??

Yes, i am facing this issue on my system at office which is connected to lan but i want to know if that matters?? I dont know how my issue might be related to lan ?? Further help regrading this will be appreciated.

Actually i remember this scenario where at my friends office corporate policy was launching McAfee Command Line Scanner scan. So just contact your company IT department and find out if you are running in to same scenario.

I have contacted my company's IT department and they said that no McAfee Command Line Scanner scan is launched on the network. They said that there might be something wrong at my end as no other employee has complained about this. They simply suggested me to uninstall McAfee and reinstall it, i will give that a try tomorrow and will post back if that helps.

I need some help here, i want to know if ePO is installed than is it possible to reschedule it and carry out scan only on non working hours and disable networks drive scanning as well.
