Is shtyle.fm is a Virus, Worm or Trojan Horse?

I am getting continuous invitation from shtyle.fm. It was related to some free stuff. There are tons of emails and they keep on coming. Some has link and some as attachments. I checked in my address book, but there is no contacts available related to it. I found on web and there are some users which specify this as a virus. How to stop getting emails from this thing. How I can report that and block it completely.

It looks like a virus. Because if you get any free stuff you get mail only once not tons of time. Move that to spam folder and set the settings on permanent delete. Do not click on any links in that. Even if the images if attached in email can be include malware. You can report the same to the email service provider. Once you notify the mail as spam, those will be excluded from the list on its own. This can be a phishing scam also.

It is a virus. I accidentally open the link and there were some downloads in the background. Fortunately I had installed Norton in my system. It showed me a popup of virus warning and scanned the file. It is fixed now. Just scan your system with a powerful antivirus. It is recommended to follow safe practices.

Some it cannot be a virus. But I think trusting on the antivirus is only option we have. There is a issue of malware which is spreading common around the web. This malware are the easy mode for attackers to infect someone's computer. If you find any of those issue ensure that your antivirus is updated. You can run the scan if you are doubtful. There are ample of low level risk that spreads widely. A number of antivirus are dormant which triggers in specific time. I was once infected with Antivirus 2010. This is a rogue antivirus and it was very complicated to get rid of.

Till your antivirus is active you do not need to worry about the same. Due to such spam my entire network was infected with torjan. I had do many stuff to get rid of the same. Thanks to Norton which keep my server secure from the infection. A virus is designed to spread so you on your end should take optimum care to avoid any trigger.
