Avira Antivir Personal Free Antivirus -Notification

Avira Antivir Personal Free Antivirus -Notification

Hello,

Have been using this for about 3 months now. Recently a window has been
appearing regularly in the lower right saying it has not been updated in 3
days and you can either click yes or update.

Why is this happening -automatic updates are on and now this is very
annoying.

Any suggestions?

Are the "automatic" updates working?
Maybe Avira is updating before there is connection with Internet?

Check your updates, I believe the message of Avira Antivir.

I use Avira too. There are two kinds of updates, definition updates and
program updates. You may need a "product update" which is available at the
main menu "Update" -> "Start product update"

Hello David:

When you do select update from the choices, does AntiVir update OK?

Even though you are now just seeing the window, has AntiVir been
updating OK till just recently?

Do you have a system setting that disconnects you from the Internet when
your system isn't in screensaver?

I have the same and usually only get that popup when the 'engine' needs
updating.
When you see that popup, choose update.
OR you can do it now by opening the avira control panel and clicking on
'update' tab on top and choosing 'Product Update'.
I was also confused when it first started happening.
