    How to disable AVG

    I have installed AVG 8.0.138 in my system and i want to know if there is a way to disable it. Actually there is a program which wants AVG to be disabled for running. I have checked out for an option in avg but i haven't found any. I dont want to uninstall it completely but i just want to disable it.

    This is what you have to do for disabling AVG 8:
    • Open AVG control panel > double-click on the menu option and open Link Scanner
    • Now uncheck "Enable AVG Search-Shield" and "AVG Active Surf-Shield" menu options in there
    • Save the changes you have made and you are done.

    You can now install your program without any issues.
