The why is probably because he is using a Microsoft product similar to
yours. None of them seem to get it right, in the average users' hands.

I don't intentionally post more then once. This is some weirdness with my
newsreader. Unfortunately I'm not being paid by Norton to recommend the
product.

I knew it so many people hate the Norton.
Main reason it slows down the computers performace but not the protection.
Forget about the past, if your computer needs protection then go with NAV 09 and NIS 09.
Its incredibly fast,.
NAV 09 and NIS 09 comes with 3 user licenses.
Product keys of NAV NIS 06 to 08 will work for NIS and NAV 09.
Only thing is it shoul have a valid subscription.
I would recommend to go with the Norton removal tool to uninstall the earlier versions of norton from your computer for reducing the installation errors.
If any do reply me and ask me your doubts regarding the Norton products.
